At just eighteen years old, I opened my first beauty salon in Ballykelly, only ten months after qualifying. During my three years of training, I gained valuable experience working in a variety of salons, even travelling to Turkey where I helped manage a salon for four months after qualifying. From a young age, owning my own salon was always my dream, and I was determined to make it a success.

A few years later, I relocated my business to Limavady to expand and continue growing. In 2026, I proudly celebrated 17 years in business and fulfilled another dream by relocating my salon to my hometown of Claudy. Looking back on my journey, I am incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. Throughout my career, I have been honoured to be recognised as a finalist at several prestigious beauty industry awards across Northern Ireland, including Nail Technician of the Year and Beauty Salon of the Year.

My passion for the beauty industry extends beyond providing treatments. I have always been passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others build successful careers of their own. This led me to complete both HNC Level 4 and HND Level 5 qualifications in Beauty Management through the North West Regional College in Derry. Despite the challenges of balancing my studies with running my own business, I achieved the highest level of qualification available in Beauty Therapy and gained the teaching qualification required to educate and mentor future beauty professionals.

Today, I am fully accredited and insured through The Beauty Guild and have had the privilege of training students every month across a wide range of beauty and nail treatments. I am also proud to be a distributor for Indigo Nails Lab, one of my favourite professional nail brands, supplying products to both my students and fellow nail technicians throughout Northern Ireland. I have been using this brand for 10+ years and cant recommend it enough. I also stock more leading brands throughout the nail & beauty industry including Pro Impressions, Yoshi and Beautiful Brows & Lashes which will also be expanding as i continue to grow the retail side of my business.

I strongly believe that professional development never stops. I regularly attend training courses and industry events to ensure I remain up to date with the latest techniques, trends and innovations, allowing me to provide the highest standard of treatments and education to both my clients and students.
